It appears that a number of users currently can’t access their Hotmail accounts.
Looking at Hotmail’s status on downrightnow.com, there has been widespread disruption from the service since 11am.
Having tried to get into my account via web browser through Hotmail.com and Outlook.com the connection has timed out both times, with the browser saying ‘the server at snt109.mail.live.com is taking too long to respond’.
However, I am able to access my Hotmail account through the application on my iPhone without any problems. So those panicking on Twitter saying they need to send an urgent email – I hope you’ve got your account linked up to your smartphone.
