Hama expands sales team with two new appointments

Hama has announced the appointment of two new sales employees, as part of a move to improve the firm’s services to the independent sector.

Kevin Hurford (pictured right), who is based in Lincoln, and Steve Tucker (pictured left), who is based in Torquay, both join the distributor as regional area sales managers (RAM).

Both Hurford and Tucker join Hama from technical accessory supplier Vivanco, and are set to join the distributor on July 29th.

Together Hurford and Tucker bring 35 years of experience combined to their new posts, having both previously worked within the consumer electronics industry.

Paul Irish, country manager for Hama, said: “Having previously worked with both Kevin and Steve, I have every confidence in their capabilities.

“These are honest, hard-working salesmen with strong customer service values that have earned them the respect of many of their customers, as well as mine.

“Their comprehensive area knowledge and industry expertise is certain to prove invaluable as Hama UK look to bring more independent retailers into the fold.”

The two will work alongside Hama’s existing RAMs, who will be responsible for putting forward the distributor’s range of products, including white accessories, PCs and AV/TV.

Irish added: “Our customers appreciate the fact they can put a face to a name where sales is concerned.

“Taking a little time out of our day to pop in and have a chat about business and evaluate the customer’s needs, that’s the essence of our work here at Hama.”
