Will also launch on Xbox One and PS4 on December 3rd

Game of Thrones Telltale PC game launches today – see the trailer here

The Game of Thrones episodic PC game from developer Telltale Games is available to download on PC today.

The title is based on the hugely popular HBO TV series and A Song of Ice and Fire novels written by George R.R. Martin. It tells the story of House Forrester, and is set between the end of season three and just before the beginning of season five in the TV series.

Games of Thrones is an adventure game consisting of six separate episodes which are released a few weeks’ apart. It’s similar to Telltale’s other titles like The Walking Dead, where the story changes based around the choices that the player makes.

The game will be played from five different points of view – each a member of House Forrester.

The first episode, Iron From Ice, is available to download today on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam and other digital distribution services, and on the PS4 in North America.

It will be available on Wednesday December 3rd on Xbox One and Xbox 360, as well as the PS4 in Europe. The series will also be coming to iOS devices via the App Store on Thursday December 4th and to Android devices later this month. It will launch on PS3 on December 9th.

Some of the cast members from the TV series have lent their voices to the game including Tyrion Lannister performed by Peter Dinklage, Cersei Lannister performed by Lena Headey, Margaery Tyrell performed by Natalie Dormer, and Ramsay Snow performed by Iwan Rheon.

The average review score is currently 78 per cent on review aggregator website Metacritic.
