iPhone and iPad manufacturer sees revenues rise alongside launch of the Apple products

Foxconn experiences October revenues boost

Foxconn Electronics has seen its October revenues rise, alongside the launch of several new Apple products.

The manufacturer, which is responsible for producing iPhone and iPad units for Apple, saw consolidated revenues for October increase by 13.25 per cent on month and 13.15 per cent on year, reaching NT$382.62 billion (£8.1 billion).

For the January to October period, revenues were NT$3 trillion (£0.06 trillion), a reduction of 3.18 per cent compared to 2012.

The boost to revenues in October has been attributed to the launch of the iPhone 5S and iPad Air by Apple. The iPhone 5C and iPad Mini with Retina were also launched, with the former allegedly dropping production due to a lack of demand.
