Rene Batenburg will take on the role of national sales manager at Gem.
The former Trust country manager will head up Gem’s national accounts team with over 23 years of experience in distribution.
Batenburg joins Gem following a lengthy role at Trust where he was primarily responsible for re-introducing the Trust brand into UK & Ireland retail high street and online outlets.
Gem sales director Neil Willerton comments: “I’m delighted with the appointment of Rene, he brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at Trust. Rene will be responsible for the National Accounts and Grocery teams utilising his contacts and experience to develop a one stop shop solution for our partners.
