Football Manager 2014 will launch in the UK on Thursday, October 31st. So you can forget Halloween's plastic pitchforks and scary masks - football fans will be indoors playing the new management game from Sega.

The new game will be available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux. It was first revealed this time last month.

Football Manager 2014 features a number of "technical innovations" including ZiZo, a new 'zoom in/zoom out’ feature that lets players set up their own custom interface.

There's an improved YouTube export feature, which now allows fans to upload custom highlights packages showing goals from multiple camera angles. There's Retina support, Mac full-screen mode support, cloud saving which lets players continue their career on a variety of computers, plus Steam Workshop compatibility.

Fans can create content and share it with their fellow managers using Steam Workshop, like custom skins, graphics and even player databases.

Football Manager Classic players using PS Vita can also continue a single computer career using their handheld console.

Buyers who pre-order their copy of Football Manager 2014 from a participating retailer (High Street or digital download) will gain early access to a beta version of the game, available around two weeks before the October 31st release date.

“I get so many requests for the release date on Twitter, but we’ll only ever announce a date when we’re sure we’re going to hit it,” said developer Sports Interactive’s Studio Director Miles Jacobson. “We’re now at that point, so I’m delighted to announce the release date of October 31st and also announce loads more retailers who will be offering people who pre-order the chance to play the beta version of the game two weeks ahead of Football Manager 2014’s official release date.”
