Football Manager 2014 breaks PC game chart record

Football Manager 2014 has shot back up to the top of the UK boxed PC game chart, with Wolfenstein and Wildstar dropping down the ranks.

The football simulation title reclaimed the top spot from Wolfenstein: The New Order, rising from last week’s third-place position to leave Bethesda’s Nazi-blasting FPS howling in second place.

Meanwhile, NCSoft’s MMO Wildstar similarly fell one rank, spending it’s third week in the chart in third.

The return to number one means that Football Manager 2014 has now broken the record for the most weeks spent at number one in the UK PC game chart, with 22 weeks at number one – 18 of those consecutively.

Looking at the rest of the chart, Call of Duty: Ghosts spot up nine spots to sit in 11th, while Watch Dogs slipped a further three spots to seventh from fourth.

In the UK PC budget chart, EA’s Sims series mopped up the top six spaces, with only Command and Conquer: Ultimate Collection – also an EA property – slipping in at third to stop a full house.

The Sims 3 base game rocketed up to second from 13th, with the Island Paradise expansion pack sitting pretty in first place from ninth last week.

The Seasons, Pets and Into The Future packs rounded out the first six chart places, with University Life just breaking the top 10 and Supernatural and Generations entering the top 20 at 17 and 18 respectively.
