Images of Google’s first Nest-branded security camera have been leaked online, ahead of its official launch next week.
The device is allegedly the first product from Google’s acquisition of camera company Dropcam, in a deal worth $555 million (£358 million).
Nest’s camera can be mounted onto any wall within a home, which can then be accessed and controlled via a smartphone app.
Images were first leaked on US website Droid-life, which revealed the camera will be able to stream images and video recordings in 1080p and will have the ability to connect to any device via Bluetooth connectivity.
The camera comes after Google acquired Nest, best knowm for its smart thermostat, last year for $3.2 billion (£2 billion).
In addition, the new device may also be able to sync with the Nest App, meaning the camera will be able to pair up with any other device in the home.
This news comes after Apple revealed the first accessories for its HomeKit, which will be coming to the UK soon.
Some accessories include sensors, a lighting hub, a smart plug and an Insteon Hub that will allow users to control cameras and lock doors.
