Final call for PCR Awards nominations

The PC Retail Awards 2009 are just four months away – and time is running out to nominate those who you believe deserve to be recognised for their efforts and success.

The Awards, which will be held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Thursday March 19th, will acknowledge the hard work of the UK computing and IT channel.

The finalists for each award will be decided by the PC Retail team, but will be influenced by suggestions from you. Once the list of finalists are decided, the winners will be chosen by a panel of 75 independent judges.

The lobbying process ends tomorrow (Wednesday November 26th), so be sure to send your suggestions to Lisa.Foster@intentmedia.co.uk now. There's no need for lengthy submissions or powerpoint presentations – just send an email, telling us why we should consider a particular team or business.

The PC Retail Awards cover the following areas:-

FRONTLINE
These awards recognise excellence in customer-facing organisations. The categories are:-

High Street Independent
High Street Multiple
Online Retailer
Value Added Reseller
Best Technical Support

DISTRIBUTION
The distribution awards are designed to acknowledge the hard work put in by the unsung heroes of the channel. The sales and marketing teams at distributors are a vital link between vendors and retailers. The categories are:-

Sales Team: Home
Sales Team: Business
Marketing & PR Team
Sales Innovation
Specialist Distributor

VENDORS
The PC Retail Awards will once again concentrate on the sales and marketing teams, as they are the 'face' of those vendors in the channel. The categories are:-

Sales Team: Home
Sales Team: Business
Marketing & PR Team: Home
Marketing & PR Team: Business
Specialist Vendor

Grand Prix: Awarded to the company which has made a notable contribution to the channel in the past year.

Industry Achievement: Awarded to the individual deemed to have made a contribution to the channel above and beyond the call of duty.
