VIDEO: Sequel to 2008 post apocalypse blockbuster

Fallout: New Vegas TV ad revealed

The latest TV advert for the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas appears ahead of the 22nd of October release date.

Two years after the arrival of the Fallout franchise reboot with Bethesda’s Fallout 3, the sequel Fallout: New Vegas is set to arrive next month. The previous version was one of the highest rating games of 2008, sweeping 91% for PC, 90% for PS3 and 93% for the Xbox 360 version on Metacritic.

The new TV advert is mostly cut-scene material but there is some in-game footage from the PC version of the game which PC Gamer was quick to leap on in order to claim that the ad "proclaims superiority of PC version."

With the Fallout 3 having cleaned up multiple "Game of the Year" awards in 2008 from IGN, Games Radar, Gamespy, UGO, Gamasutra and the Golden Joystick Awards and with NPD estimating US retail sales at over 4.7 million units, demand for the Fallout: New Vegas is expected to be considerable.

In the run up to release Bethesa has posted two Developer Diaries with the first touching on the story of the new game and the second on technology and sound design. These can be found on the Bethesda YouTube Channel.
