Accessories vendor launches iPhone and Nintendo DSi range in time for World Cup

Exspect scores official England licence

Exspect has won the rights to the official England football team branding and will launch ‘three lions’ skins for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Nintendo DSi in time for the World Cup next month.

The accessories vendor scored the deal after reaching a partnership with Digital Goals, an agency founded by Exspect’s former commercial director, Neil Meredith.

Mike Sanderson, head of development at Exspect, said: “Easy to apply, remove and reuse, we expect these skins will prove popular with supporters long after England lifts that World Cup trophy.”

Meredith added: “Obviously with the ongoing relationship I have with Exspect and Gem, it was an easy choice for me to select and work with them when I was looking for the best route to market in time for the World Cup.

“We have other licensed property opportunities in the pipeline and we are looking forward to announcing them soon.”

The accessories are available to order from Exspect now, in time for the World Cup which kicks off on June 11th. BlackBerry and laptop skins are expected to follow later in the year.
