Exertis to distribute connected iHealth products

Distributor Exertis has signed a contract with iHealth to distribute the company’s range of connected health products in the UK.

This will see Exertis distribute the full iHealth range including blood pressure monitors, wireless scales, fitness devices and glucometers.

Founded as part of the Andon Health Group in California in 2009 and launched in Europe in 2013, iHealth is well established in the connected health market with a market share of more than 50 per cent.

"The company’s vision is to connect patients directly to their personal health and help move healthcare from a primarily curative service to a preventative one," it said in a statement.

In 2011, iHealth launched the first mobile-app enabled blood pressure device, and in 2012, it launched the first wireless blood pressure monitor. The first wireless blood glucose monitor followed in 2013.

More information about the product range can be found here.

Joe Officer, Head of Accessories for Exertis (pictured), said: “Health services globally are struggling with the burden of growing/aging populations and continue to put more emphasis onto patients directly to monitor their own well-being.

"And more generally, consumers themselves want to use their increasing number of connected devices to proactively stay in tune with their bodies. The potential for iHealth in the UK is vast.”

Stéphane Kerrien, European Sales Director at iHealth, added: “Our partnership with Exertis is a strategic decision to help us continue our growth plans for the UK market. Especially as we increase our footprint in the major retail, specialist and online channels, Exertis’ breadth of relationships and logistical strength will be invaluable.”
