Distributor Exertis has restructured its computing business unit, splitting it in to two clearly defined channels – B2B and B2C.
As a result of the restructure, the B2B team will consist of two business managers, Chris Shearer – responsible for Lenovo and Fujitsu products – and Chris Godsalve, focusing on Acer and Toshiba. Further bolstering the team is Tom Pindar, product manager for Dell and Asus.
The B2C team sees Carl Eagle work alongside retail business development manager, Luke Asekokhai. Eagle will assume the role of B2C business manager, working closely with consumer vendors.
“In recent years we have demonstrated that we are the number one distribution partner for many of UK’s leading retailers, and these changes are designed to further support this,” said Simon Barnard, computing general manager.
“Following on from last year’s success, where our B2B business grew 26 per cent YoY, we are confident that with these changes and personnel in place, we are excellently placed to continue to hit our B2B goals.
"Likewise, this restructure will only serve to strengthen our B2C aspirations, making both divisions stronger and better equipped to help our reseller partners meet the specialist needs of their business and consumer customers.”
Other personnel changes have taken place, with Andrew Smith moving to the role of Product Specialist South, replacing Sam Wilson (who has moved into a role with Visual BU). Steve Blackstock takes on the role of Product Specialist North, replacing Ian Ainsworth who moves into a newly created business development role.
