Exclusive – Lenovo: Expect more from Yoga Book in 2017

Lenovo’s director of product marketing Phillip Oldham has hinted at what’s next for the company’s acclaimed Yoga Book device in an exclusive interview with PCR.

"Without going into any secrets, I think it doesn’t take a genius to work out the type of direction we might go in with this product," said Oldham. "It’s a very successful form factor and people are really enjoying the fact that it’s very very thin, very light and it has the Yoga hinge that you can flip round into a 360 mode.

"I think it would be very strange if anybody didn’t expect to see more variations of this product coming out in the next year. And certainly this side of Christmas I think it’s safe to say that we’re going to be launching more developments moving on from our original Yoga Book."

Oldham said that the company has been surprised by the success of the product and that it has "really surpassed all of our expectations.

"We’ve only been selling this product since September 2016 and we’ve already done over half a million units globally in terms of sales."

The director also spoke about the company’s announcements from Las Vegas earlier this month, "It’s been anouther great year for us at CES".

To read the full interview, make sure you pick up the February issue of PCR when it hits shelves in a couple of weeks.
