Excalibur donates Dell laptops to Exertis’ ‘Tech Aid’ campaign

Exertis’ ‘Tech Aid’ programme has received a donation of eight Dell Latitude 3540s from Excalibur Communications.

The Vodafone partner has donated towards ‘Tech Aid’, which is working alongside the Sabre Trust, an independent education charity working in rural Ghana.

Exertis is leading the campaign to encourage vendors, resellers and distributors to join forces to help raise money to build a school in Ghana.

Aubrey Malcolm-Green, co-founder and trustee, at The Sabre Charitable Trust, said: “We are delighted to receive such a generous donation from Excalibur.

“Supporting and adequately resourcing a growing team that works in a varied and demanding environment has presented us with IT challenges, which this donation will go a long way to relieve.”

Exertis has currently raised £57,558 for the charity and hopes to meet its target of £120,000 by the end of December.

In other news, the company has announced the appointment of its new business manager.

Nick Beesley is joining the company’s mobile division as business manager for mobile devices.

Beesley previously worked at EE within the retail trading team as the pay monthly trading manager, as well as working at Dixons Retail.

Beesley added: “I’m excited to be working here at Exertis, both in terms of the fact it is an excellent company to be part of with great prospects for my future, as well as being able to work in the heart of the company, looking at the opportunities and maximising the potential for my area of the business.”
