Ebuyer confirms buying team reshuffle and new imports team

It’s a busy time for UK online tech retailer Ebuyer at the moment, with the company making big changes to its buying and marketing teams.

The UK buying teams will now be led by Andy Holdsworth (pictured, top left) and Lee Weymouth (pictured, top right).

The confirmation follows rumours suggesting Ebuyer was working on a restructure, and days after the etailer announced it would open a dedicated business office at Sheffield’s Arena Court in September.

Weymouth and his team will be responsible for Ebuyer’s PC, laptop and mobile device business, while Holdsworth and his team will look after all other products (monitors, print, server, components, networking and so on).

Jonpaul Warren (pictured, bottom right) will also be leading a newly created imports team. He will focus on sourcing and improving the quality of Ebuyer’s own brand products – these include Element Gaming, Xenta and Sond Audio.

There have also been changes to the Ebuyer’s marketing team, which is now being led by Sue Pickering (pictured, bottom left). She will be responsible for delivering the Ebuyer marketing strategy, its brand and sponsorship activity and working with the buying teams on marketing campaigns.

Pickering will also work on growing relationships with Ebuyer’s partners, as well as reviewing customer feedback to improve the shopping experience.

Another change in the marketing team sees David Kapondoro move across from buying to an onsite search role.

In an internal memo seen by PCR, Ebuyer said the changes marked a positive step forward for growth.
