New drive emphasises value of ?Buy it Now?

eBay unveils Christmas ad campaign

eBay is to launch a new £1.2 million advertising drive on Friday that promotes the firm as the low-cost destination for Christmas shoppers.

The move comes after a survey by research firm Frontier Economics compared prices of 288 products with those from various high street retailers and found clothing and computers in particular to be better value on eBay.

The advertising campaign, entitled ‘Guess What,’ has been created by Albion and will extend to national print press, billboards and direct mail.

The campaign will place a strong emphasis on the ‘Buy it Now’ feature found in the unused products section, that eBay believes will be off the most interest to Christmas shoppers.
