DSG now stocking new Lexmark wireless printers

Lexmark has announced that it range of wireless printers are now being stocked at Currys, Currys.Digital and PC World stores.

The range, which includes the Z1480 single function wireless colour printer, with photo printing capabilities, X4580 wireless all-in-one printer with wireless capabilities and a broad range of functions including copying, scanning and printing, Z1380 single function inkjet printer, and X2580 and X3580 two-in-one printers.

"Wireless has become an essential purchase in the consumer technology market," said Peter Duncombe, International Buying Director at DSGi. "Once considered something just for businesses, we're now seeing our whole spectrum of customers using wireless to deliver greater freedom and mobility in how they live and work within the home."

"It's a category that we will grow and develop in line with our customers' demands - Lexmark’s new wireless printer range is helping us do just this by delivering high quality, easy to use and affordable wireless solutions that help maximise the full potential of our customers wireless home," added Duncombe.

"Wireless networks are becoming increasingly common in the home, we well as in businesses. Because of the high price of existing wireless printers and the complexity of use, consumers have been slow to adopt wireless printing," said consumer printer division director at Lexmark, Marcus Harvey.

We intend to change that with our new wireless printers that are affordable, easy to install and easy to use," added Harvey. "With multiple laptops and handheld devices being used in homes, Wi-Fi is a technology that is open to all."

"Customers today are looking for products that not only offer value for money but also make their lives easier," said Trading Manager at PC World, Lisa Spillman. "As a result, wireless connectivity is currently a must-have for consumers. Our aim is to provide the customer with products that satisfy their demand for innovation, productivity and most importantly, affordability."

Prices start at £39.99 SRP for the Z1380, with the top of the range models, the X3580 and X4580 both costing £99.99 SRP.
