Dixons Carphone has teamed up with Three’s owner Hutchison Whampoa, to offer mobile phone contracts.

The retailer will allow its customers to tailor their own price plans, minutes and data.

Customers also buying laptops, tablets or TVs from Carphone Warehouse or Currys and PC World, will have the opportunity to take out a contract at the same time.

Bosses from Dixons Carphone have also revealed that becoming a service provider could be worth up to £5 billion.

The service is yet to be given a name, but reports suggest the service will launch in the summer.

This news comes after Dixons Carphone released its Christmas trading statement.

The company reported that its overall pro forma headline profit before tax will be in the range of £355 million to £375 million.

The company’s CEO, Sebastian James also revealed the company may be stocking the Apple Watch this Easter.
