Intel and Nvidia no longer used exclusively in vendor's XPS machines

Dell to use AMD Phenom in gaming systems

AMD will provide the chipsets for Dells latest XPS gaming machine. Tech site, The Inquirer, speculates that the gaming system will feature an AMD Phenon processor, four radeon HD 3870 graphics cards in Crossfire configuration, as well as a 790-FX motherboard.

Previously, the XPS series of notebooks and desktops has contained Intel, Nvidia and ATI DX9 chips. The new XPS series, containing the chips, currently has no name or catchy muddled code.
