DSGi’s recent drive to improve customer service appears to have taken effect, as all the retail group’s stores scored highly when PCR’s Mystery Shopper visited Stoke on Trent.

PC World, Currys and Currys Digital all impressed our Shopper when they visited outlets in the Staffordshire town searching for a wireless router.

DSGi’s chief executive John Browett recently said that the group’s improved customer service was working. “The company never really took customer service to heart,” he commented. “But what we’re doing now is quite dramatic. It’s a really big change in the way we run the business.”

Currys Digital came top in Mystery Shopper, scoring a near perfect nine out of ten. “It didn’t set the world alight, but I received a solid recommendation backed by good product knowledge and confidence,” our Shopper said.

PC World scored an impressive eight out of ten, while Currys was awarded seven points.
