Chain retailer Currys impressed PCR’s mystery shopper on their latest outing to Liverpool.
This month, mystery shopper was in search of security software for both PC and Mac and found wide-ranging advice from the stores he visited. But only Currys was able to recommend any Mac anti-virus software, while the others suggested it wasn’t needed at all, as Macs are rarely hit by viruses – this is true, but they are not immune.
Mystery shopper also encountered sales assistants claiming that some AV software would slow PCs down, while others suggested it could help speed start-up. Norton, Kaspersky and BitDefender titles all made a strong appearance.
