VNU Exhibitions has rebranded the Computer Trade Show to reflect a new approach to the UK's principal IT channel show.

CTS becomes Channel Expo

The rebranding is intended to position the show as the definitive channel event for the UK reseller community.

An acknowledgement of the increasing overlap of sectors within the IT industry has led to the merging of all the previous brands in to one. VNU also hopes to attract a wider presence from AV, CCTV, VoIP, security and new technology vendors.

Accordingly the layout has also been changed, with the removal of the previous ‘zones’ and a greater emphasis on networking through the centrally situated Networking Pavilion. The show remains at the Birmingham NEC, but has been moved to hall 19.

Other changes include the dates, as previously reported in PC Retail, which have been moved to 28th and 29th March. There will be an enhanced seminar programme, featuring guest speakers covering key technology trends and an intensive 16 week marketing campaign to promote the event.
