An mp3 player? How retro!

Creative launch Zen Style M300 with Bluetooth

Creative has introduced a new portal music player called the Zen Style M300, fitted with Bluetooth wireless music playback.

The new MP3 player appears to take leaf out of the smartphone book by offering the ability to play music to wireless headphones and speakers via the Bluetooth 2.1 standard.

The M300 is also fitted with an FM radio, touch sensitive controls and a 1.45-inch LCD screen. The device is to be available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB sizes although it also houses a MicroSD slot which can take cards up to 32GB.

Supported audio formats include MP3, WMA and WAV while the firm amusingly cites video playback compatibility on the tiny little screen via some unusual format. Clearly you wouldn’t bother.

The Zen Style M300 will be available in black, white, red or yellow colours.

Creative announced US pricing ranging from $49.99 for the 4GB model up to $89.99 for the 16GB model. A cheaper Zen Style M100 model does away with the Bluetooth functionality for $10 less.

The firm has not yet revealed European release or pricing details.
