Computer 2000, the UK arm of Tech Data, has announced that it will distribute 3Dconnexion’s full range of 3D mice.
Ideal for users of AutoCAD, Inventor and more than 150 other 3D applications, 3Dconnexion’s 3D mice enable users to interact with content intuitively, making it easier for engineers to work faster, boosting efficiency and enhancing comfort.
By gently manipulating the 3D mouse controller cap, users can simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate their 3D models or camera position while using the standard mouse or tablet to select, create and edit.
Paul Jacobs, General Manager of the PC Components business unit at Computer 2000 said: “3Dconnexion’s 3D mice are amazingly useful aids to productivity. They make it possible to interact with designs and models more fluidly and intuitively – in a way that’s just not possible with a traditional mouse and keyboard.
“We’re expecting them to be extremely popular with mechanical engineers, architects, designers, and anyone else that uses 3D modelling software. With prices starting at £99 and rising to £299, there is plenty of margin opportunity and they make great add-on sales for Autodesk resellers.”
John Moseley, Director of Global Marketing for 3Dconnexion, said: “Partnering with Computer 2000 will open up new opportunities by giving us greater visibility and access to the wider channel community. We’ll be working with Computer 2000 to make sure resellers of design and engineering solutions are aware of the added value our products offer to for their customers.”
