CompTIA has announced a range of new appointments to its UK Channel Community Executive Council for 2016.
The industry-driven group offers UK tech companies an opportunity to address common concerns and pursue common goals through face-to-face and online networking opportunities, educational programs and the development of association funded and managed initiatives.
Kristian Wright from Inbay has been promoted from his previous role as VC to chair of the council, while Steve Ross from Shackleton has taken over from Wright as vice chair.
As well as these changes, two new members have joined the Executive Council – David Watson from Evolve Computers and Mark Williams from Pensar.
Wright is managing director at Inbay and has over 25 years’ experience within the IT, media and print technology sectors.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with CompTIA so far and am honoured to be given role of Chair of the Channel Community. I will continue to work hard to ensure all of our members have the best tools available to help their businesses progress and develop and look forward to working to help the market grow,” said Wright.
Estelle Johannes, director of Member Communities at UK at CompTIA, added: “Both Kristian and Steve have shown incredible commitment ever since they joined the Council, so it was an obvious choice to ask them to take on these new roles.
“We have no doubt that they are the ideal people to help the council grow and develop, and welcoming the experienced David and Mark as members will only make us stronger. The wealth of knowledge and experience our members have is staggering and the industry will only benefit from their advice.”
The next CompTIA UK Channel Community meeting will take place on the 23rd and 24th February 2016 in Leeds.
