CompTIA introduces new IT Fundamentals exam

CompTIA has announced the availability of its new CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification exam.

The exam covers a range of IT topics and provides customers with the knowledge of various technology concepts and practices.

The CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam covers five categories, including software, hardware, security, networking and basic IT literacy.

Training materials for those taking on the exam are expected to launch this month, with the CompTIA CertMaster course due in November.

Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO at CompTIA, said: “IT literacy is a critical element in today’s innovation economy, which drives employment and powers growth in many other industries.

“This credential addresses the growing need for a deeper understanding of technology fundamentals throughout an organisation.”

CompTIA’s2014 EMEA Member and Partner Conference also takes place on November 5th and 6th at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London.
