George Polk, the chief executive of UK wi-fi provider The Cloud, has left the firm as part of a widespread management shake-up.
ZDNet reports that Polk co-founded the company alongside Niall Murphy in 2003, since when it has gone on to become the largest wi-fi operator in the UK. "He has stepped out of the operation business," The Cloud told ZDNet. "He is rarely in the office."
It is understood that Polk actually resigned from his post at the end of January, but the news has reportedly been kept under wraps. Polk remains on The Cloud’s board, though his long-term future remains in doubt.
