PR agency to promote business development firm and its clients

Channel Dragons firm The Tech Crowd partners with The PR Room

Business development firm The Tech Crowd – which is behind the Channel Dragons initiative – has signed agency The PR Room to promote its work.

Channel Dragons is a service designed to provide tech vendors and distributors with the tools to promote new and emerging products and technologies.

The Tech Crowd scours the global market for products that have little or no footprint in the UK, and invites selected companies to present the products to a network of ‘Dragons’ – key decision-makers within the UK distribution market.

The PR Room was chosen to help develop and implement a range of campaigns to increase brand awareness for The Tech Crowd and the Channel Dragons initiative, alongside PR representation for all of The Tech Crowd’s clients.

The Tech Crowd was set up in 2009 and has amassed a host of clients including TP-Link, ZTE, IBM, BullGuard and HP. The firm helps tech companies launch and grow emerging products and services, covering everything from pre-sales strategy to channel management and post-sales pull-through.

“After speaking to The PR Room it didn’t take us long to realise that this could be the perfect fit for our company and new brands that we are bringing to the UK market; one that reflects similar values in terms of dealing with clients and dedication to the cause,” said Jamie Plumridge, Managing Director at The Tech Crowd.

The PR Room director Sarah Chard added: "We struck an immediate rapport with The Tech Crowd and its innovative Channel Dragons initiative, so we’re very enthusiastic about plans going forwards."

The Channel Dragons brought its first product to the UK market last year.
