Origin PC has released its Genesis and Millennium ranges, which it calls “the most advanced and customisable desktop cases in the world”.
The lines will use the firm’s ‘variable mounting’ feature, which allows a motherboard to mounted in four different ways: standard ATX, inverted ATX, rotated 90 degrees or rotated 90 degrees and inverted.
The thinking behind the variability is to allow PC builders to fully incorporate different combinations of components – for example, allowing sufficient air and cooling to flow around up to four supported Nvidia graphics cards in SLI.
The case also includes swappable side panels and a dual-hinged front door.
The Millennium is a mid-sized tower that can be transformed into the Genesis using an expansion kit sold by Origin.
The Millennium can hold up to five hot-swappable storage drives, with the kit adding space for dual 360mm radiators and up to 24 2.5-inch drives.
The Millennium starts at $1,629 (£992) while an already-expanded Genesis case will run at $1,849 (£1,126).
