Centerprise adds Caterpillar phones to its ruggedised IT portfolio

Centerprise has announced a new partnership with Bullitt Group to distribute Caterpillar phones.

The partnership with the mobile phone and consumer electronics manufacturer comes as Centerprise’s distribution team takes on more suppliers, to offer resellers across the UK a varied choice of specialist rugged IT.

The Caterpillar phones are specially engineered with the latest technology to withstand challenging mobile working environments, and include features such as oil and grease resistance, wet finger tracking and ‘glove-on working’ technology.

The phones also have large capacity batteries, super-bright displays and are water, dust and drop proof.

“The team are very excited to launch this new partnership. Already they have outstanding knowledge and experience, enabling them to provide the best rugged devices to our customers. Now we can offer them something new to complement their solutions,” said Centerprise’s business unit manager, Emma Loveless.

The addition of this new range will allow Centerprise to offer fully mobile rugged solutions, including notebooks, tablets and now phones.

“The rugged smartphone market is growing with over 10m units sold globally in 2014 and our Cat phones portfolio appeals to those who regularly damage their existing phone due to them being used in work environments they were not built for. By partnering with Centerprise we look forward to capitalising on their proven experience with our target demographic,” added Oliver Schulte, CEO of Bullitt Mobile.
