CCI opens new sales centre to spearhead major channel push

Distributor's second office located in Andover; set to proactively seek out new vendors and resellers

Yorkshire-based CCI Distribution is to open a new sales centre in the south, alongside a renewed push for vendors and resellers, as the company looks to capitalise on what it has described as a successful past 12 months.

The sales centre, based in Andover, Hampshire, has been opened to expand the distributor's reach, as well as proactively seek out new distribution deals and reseller partners.

"CCI has experience a lot of change and success over the past 12 months, in spite of the recession," commented sales director, Nick Preston. "The new sales office represents a significant milestone, providing the enhanced geographic reach we need to fulfil out ambitious growth plans for the next few years.

Preston added that the new sales centre in the South would allow the distributor to better serve its partners – both vendors and resellers – in the region. "Our success has been built upon prioritising customer service and satisfaction above all else – an approach that has helped us build long lasting relationships that are strong enough to endure the current economic conditions, enabling us to succeed in the marketplace."

The new centre will also be at the forefront of the distributor's plans to help its vendor and reseller partners compete in the increasingly important online arena. "When you consider how commoditised the IT peripherals business has become, it's clear that efficient distribution is now much more than just box shifting," explains Preston.

"With many customers now making purchasing decisions online, competition is extremely stiff and the ability to deliver goods in a timely manner has never been more important.

He added that CCI – and other distributors – had a duty to its partners to help them compete. "This has carved out a key role for distributors behind the scenes, underpinning the supply chain in order to meet increasing customer demands and ensure that their vendors' relationships are upheld at all times."
