A number of graphics cards suppliers are now accepting returns for the GTX 970 in the UK.

The news comes after complaints were made about the card’s system memory.

Now Caseking and Overclockers have said that they will accept all GeForce 970 graphics cards from all suppliers.

Nvidia’s 970 claims to have 4GB of memory, but the card cannot use more than 3.5GB of its onboard memory at full speed.

The graphics card also features a lower amount of raster operations pipelines than Nvidia advertised as well as cut down L2 cache.

As a result, some customers were disappointed and wanted to return their graphics adapters but were unable to do so.

An Nvidia spokesperson commented about its performance previously said on the GeForce forums: "The GeForce GTX 970 is equipped with 4GB of dedicated graphics memory. However the 970 has a different configuration of SMs than the 980, and fewer crossbar resources to the memory system."

Customers can return their graphics cards between now and the end of February.
