Broadline distributor offers the channel ?4 million extra credit

C2000 extends credit to little guys

Computer 2000, the UK arm of Tech Data, is putting around £4 million of additional credit into the channel by offering terms to 800 of its smaller reseller customers that have previously been managed as cash-with-order accounts.

Commenting on the initiative, managing director of Computer 2000, Andy Gass, siad: "By extending these credit lines we are demonstrating our commitment to our smaller customers and making it easier for them to take advantage of the full range of value added services and support that Computer 2000 provides.

"In the mid- and small business market, most IT systems consist mainly of products from three vendors [HP, Cisco and Microsoft]. Having convenient access to the full range of solutions from them all gives resellers a significant advantage. By extending credit terms to them, we are making it easier for smaller resellers to develop their business."

Gass said that the company will happily review the status of any reseller that does not have credit with the company already.
