Distributor adds new functionality to software licensing system

C2000 adds automatic alerts for resellers

Computer 2000 has added a function to its online software licensing system, License OnLine, which will allow it to alert partners of vendor deals.

The system works in conjunction with Symantec’s Margin Builder and McAfee’s Deal Registration programmes, and will alert resellers to new deals so all they have to do is register to earn rebates on these lines.

“This latest addition to License OnLine will help resellers to quickly and easily register their opportunities with our vendors,” said the director of C2000’s software business unit, James Reed.

“The extra margin they can earn from deal registrations can make all the difference to the profitability of a license sale, and also help protect the reseller’s investment in business development. In some circumstances, our resellers are unaware of any deal registration potential – LOL will make all opportunities highly visible to them in the same consistent format, regardless of the specific vendor programme.”
