BT unveils small business ‘KickStart’ scheme

BT has unveiled a new KickStart Scheme which aims to provide telephony, IT equipment, software and service charges on a leasing arrangement in order for new businesses.

The new scheme is aimed at allowing businesses the opportunity to avoid needing to finance IT infrastructure with bank loans and overdrafts.

"The UK has an average of 270,000 start-up businesses every year. In light of the current economic climate we want to help these businesses access the products and services they need to get their new venture up and running," said BT Business boss Declan McGlone.

"Our ‘KickStart Scheme’ offers finance over a fixed term, at a fixed rate, making it easier for customers to budget."

Companies that have been trading for less than three years are eligible for the scheme which can provide access to equipment and services worth up to £15,000.

KickStart will be administered through BT Local Business.
