Dealer services group Brigantia will visit 22 cities and London boroughs this year to promote superfast broadband to SMBs.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport recently invited Brigantia to become a registered national supplier under the £100 million Urban Broadband voucher scheme. The Brigantia member support team will be taking a pop-up stand to all 22 City Council and London borough run events to promote Brigantia/Superfast Broadband which is now available to members.

Members local to each event are being invited to support the stand, where SMBs can learn how to obtain grants of between £200 and £3,000 towards upgrading to superfast broadband.

The pop-up stand is being sponsored by efar, Intel, Linksys, Sage and Terra Computer.

The Government wants 95 per cent of the UK to receive at least 24Mbps broadband speeds by 2017.

"All SMB leads generated are being passed to local Brigantia members. The events are a great free way for members to meet and talk to thousands of SMBs that they may not otherwise meet in their normal course of business," said Brigantia in a statement.

Brigantia founder and director Iain Shaw told PCR: "The events are a great opportunity for local SMBs to see the full Brigantia Internet of Things offer of connectivity, devices and applications. The message being delivered is one of local support for local businesses. Our aim is to help local members find new SMB customers that they can build recurring revenue business from.

"Last year we created the strap line Brigantia ‘exists to add value’ - this year we are delivering on this promise to our membership."

Brigantia also recently ran two successful member conferences - North and South - themed around the Internet of Things.

Brigantia will also have a presence at PCR Boot Camp this year. It is encouraging members to catch up at the event, and urging computer solution providers, MSPs, office equipment or telecoms dealers interested in learning more about Brigantia to also register for the event.

Any new members joining Brigantia at PCR Boot Camp will benefit from a limited no joining fee offer and low monthly subscription.
