Photo compression software to be offered on trial with Samsung memory cards

Blubox signs with Samsung

BluBox is set to expand the European presence of its photographic digital data compression technology, following a deal with Samsung which will see a trial version of it bundled with the latter’s memory cards from April.

BluBox V4 compresses photo file sizes by up to 95 per cent and uses government standard encryption for protection.

“We are very pleased to have concluded this deal with Samsung for our BluBox technology as it will enable millions of Samsung memory card and USB memory users across Europe to benefit from the massive compression of digital images which BluBox brings,” said Tim Capps, vice president of business development at BluBox. “We also have a number of other innovative applications we will be introducing in due course that will continually refresh the content story adding significant user benefit.”
