Belkin has revealed its latest range of “people inspired technology products” at IFA, in celebration of the company’s “30 years of innovation and design”.

The products shown include an addition to Belkin’s WeMo “home automation” range – the WeMo Insight Switch.

The Insight allows users to control household electronics using their iOS or Android devices. The plug also manages energy usage and tracks the cost of electronics. Wi-Fi enabled, it also provides scheduled notifications sent to devices whenever a connected unit is turned on or off.

Belkin’s entire range of iOS and Android tablet accessories are present at the tradeshow, including the Ultimate Keyboard for the Samsung Tab 3 10.1. The keyboard case is made of aluminium alloy and measures under 8mm. Belkin’s Smart Sensing technology turns the keyboard off when not in use.

Introduced at the show were Belkin’s TrueClear InvisiGlass screen protectors. Made from 100 per cent glass, the polymer-based overlays are designed to provide resistance to hard impacts, shatters and cracks.

Also debuting was the AC1750 DB wireless router. Claimed to operated up to 4.3 times faster than ‘N’ technology, the router includes dual-band technology, USB3.0 and Gigabit ports.

Following Belkin’s acquisition of Linksys earlier this year, the newest edition of Linksys’ AC1900 router, the Smart Wi-Fi AC19000 AC Dual Band Router (EA6900), was shown. The router has three removable antennas to improve range and features a 8000MHz dual-core processor to boost performance.

Other products at Belkin’s booth include the previously-announced phone cases springing from Belkin’s partnership with kids’ toy company LEGO, fashion designer Orla Kiely and skate shoes company Vans.

The Belkin Pro Cycling team also made a special appearance.
