Back to the Future 'ZBoard Hoverboard' hits Indiegogo

Marty McFly-styled board is available for $1,500, with proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation
Publish date:

An electric skateboard styled on the hoverboard from Back to the Future has gone up for sale on Indiegogo.

The limited edition ZBoard Hoverboard is a weight-sensing skateboard that can hit up to 18mph. The electric battery goes up to 20 miles per charge, and takes five to seven hours to recharge.

To get one of the 25 available electric skateboards will cost donators $1,500 (£929), but the Indiegogo campaign also offers the chance to donate less for a ZBoard shirt, grip tape for a skateboard styled after the hoverboard or a pink skateboard deck including the grip tape and wiring for a custom installation.

All of the proceeds from the sale will go towards the Michael J. Fox Foundation for sufferers of Parkinson’s disease.
