AVermedia signs up Bluepoint

Digital Multimedia Technology provider and Education Specialist, AVermedia, has broadened its UK strategy by signing up Bluepoint as its distribution partner.
The deal will see Bluepoint distribute AVermedia’s range to wide network of independent retailers, resellers and education.

AVermedia’s PC TV solutions enable users to watch Freeview and analogue TV channels on PCs, laptops and netbooks. Its video capture solutions can be used to record gameplay sequences from game consoles, back up DVDs, Blu-ray movies, and transfer digital content from external sources such as camcorders too.

UK Sales & Marketing Director at AVermedia, Rob Livings, said: “Partnering with Bluepoint will be key to further extending our retail presence in the UK, and is a great opportunity for raising the profile of our video capture solutions. These products are aimed at more advanced consumer applications and this agreement will continue to strengthen their position in the market.”

AVermedia will be shortly introducing a new range of 3D-enabled PC TV tuners, which allow users to take advantage of PC-based 3D TV. The tuners will also transform live 2D recordings and films into a 3D experience.
