Says technology like Google Glasses will dominate the future

Atari founder: Mobile gaming is doomed

Atari’s founder, Nolan Bushnell, has forecast that the dominance of mobile gaming is coming to an end with the introduction of technology like the Google Glasses.

In an interview with AllThingsD, Bushnell stated that the next big thing were the Google Glasses and the Oculus Rift, and that while the market had been dominated by games like Angry Birds and FarmVille for the last five years, that is now “over”.

“All the money’s out. Do I really want to do a mobile game that’s one of 300,000, where discoverability is everything?” asked Bushnell.

“You really have to have a little more sizzle on the steak. I would rather be one of a hundred apps for Google Glass than one of 300,000 for iOS and Android.”
