A contestant from the last series of The Apprentice has created the App that was rejected by Alan Sugar.

According to T3, finalist Nick Holzherr has created an App called Whisk, which allows people to order the ingredients for specific recipes and have them delivered to their homes.

Unfortunately for Holzherr, Sugar didn’t see the blahdy point of such an app, saying: “It’s achievable, I get that. But so is sending a man to the moon. What are we going to get out it at the end? Who could be bothered with it?”

However a number of other investors showed that they could be bothered and raised over £500,000 to get the project underway.

The app is currently being run in conjunction with Tesco and Waitrose and the Food Network TV channel has incorporated the app in to its website.
