Apple CEO Steve Jobs met with US President Barack Obama yesterday, the White House has confirmed.
Official spokesman Robert Gibbs told Reuters the pair had met in San Francisco to discuss "American competitiveness and education, especially reforms such as the President’s Race to the Top initiative."
Obama and Jobs, who apparently last met on the campaign trail in 2008, also talked about energy independence and ways to increase job creation, Gibbs added.
The President is on a four-day trip through western US states ahead of the midterm elections on November 2nd, when his Democrat party is expected to lose a number of political seats.
