New MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac ranges also expected

Apple send invites for iPad Mini Oct 23rd unveiling

Apple is sending out invites for its media event next Tuesday, where it is expected to show off a smaller iPad.

The invite has a headline saying ‘We’ve got a little more to show you’, a possible hint at the rumoured 7.85-inch iPad.

The invites were sent out just an hour after Microsoft confirmed pricing for the Surface tablet. Apple’s event is also taking place three days before Surface goes on sale.

As well as the iPad Mini, it is highly expected that Apple will be showcasing new MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac ranges.

PCR reported on Monday that there were leaked photos implying that the iMac was getting a makeover, complete with a redesigned teardrop-shaped body.

There is expected to be a 13-inch MacBook Pro featuring Retina display and a number of updates to Apple’s Mac mini computer.

The media event takes place in San Jose on October 23rd at 10am PST (6pm GMT).
