Electricals retailer ceases trade, KPMG appointed

Apollo 2000 enters administration

Independent electrical retailer Apollo 2000 has entered administration, with the firm being forced to stop trading as a result.

KPMG’s Mark Orton and Richard Philpott have been appointed as joint administrators by the High Court of the 12-store chain.

"The business is unable to trade in administration, and accordingly the stores have been closed," the administrators said in a statement.

"The administrators are working hard to assess the position for customers who have made payments and not received goods. We will endeavour to contact these customers over the next few weeks."
