Angry Birds Space: 100 million downloads in 76 days

Rovio has announced in a tweet that its latest Angry Birds instalment has reached 100 million downloads across all available platforms.

The games has achieved this incredible number of downloads in just 76 days. To mark the celebration, Rovio tweeted: ‘100 MILLION Angry Birds Space downloads!! SQUAWK if you’re in space!’ accompanied by a photo depicting some very happy birds, and one shocked looking pig.

Rovio’s Facebook page has reached the 20 million fan mark, and as of May 9th, all Angry Birds games across all platforms hit one billion downloads.

June 18th is set to see the release of a new web-only game entitled Angry Birds Heikki. What with a hoard of merchandise and theme parks in the works is there no stopping the birds?
