After weeks of speculation and rumour, Acer has finally announced its Iconia B1-A71 tablet at this year’s CES event.
The entry-level device, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, boasts a seven-inch screen with a resolution of 1024×600, along with Wi-Fi, GPS, microSD and a front-facing camera.
Acer has also revealed that the Iconia B1-A71 will ship complete with the latest Android 4.1 operating system, Jelly Bean.
The Iconia entry-level tablet will reportedly be below the £99 mark, offering further competition to rival low-price tablets such as Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and the Google Nexus 7.
A Bulgarian website caused controversy earlier this week after it almost released its review on the tablet and leaked its existence prior to the official announcement from Acer at this year’s CES event in Las Vegas.
