Acer will provide athletes with internet access during the games

Acer provides Olympic and Paralympic athletes with three internet lounges

Acer’s internet lounges will provide athletes with fully-equipped computing stations throughout the games.

The lounges will offer broadband access, printer capabilities and social networking applications 24 hours a day seven days a week during both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

There will be two small lounges situated in the villages of Egham and Weymouth, both will feature ten fully equipped computing stations.

The main lounge, located at the Stratford Athletes Village, will offer free access with 130 computers. 65 of these will be fixed stations powered by the Acer Z3801 all-in-one desktop, the rest will be made up of Acer S3 ultrabooks and Acer ICONIA A510 tablets.

Acer’s internet lounges will give athletes from around the world the chance to unwind and catch up with friends and family across the internet. Acer will have on-site staff and technicians at each lounge to provide customer support and solve technical issues.

Acer will also be offering internet access to the world’s press in its Main Press Center (MPC). Located in the Olympic Park, the MPC will be equipped with 50 workstations.
