Acer launches new Cloudbooks powered by Windows 10

Acer has unveiled two new notebooks, including the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and 14, which are powered by Windows 10.

Designed for the cloud, the notebooks come equipped with a year’s subscription to Office 365 Personal with up to 1TB OneDrive online storage.

They both feature Acer’s cloud-enabled apps, including abPhoto, abMusic, abDocs and abFiles, as well as dual digital microphones with digital signal processing (DSP).

The 11-inch model weighs 1.15kg while the 14-inch variant weighs 1.6kg, plus both boast full sized HDMI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and SD card ports.

A full-sized chiclet keyboard and touchpad supporting Windows 10 gestures are included, as well as an HD 16:9 LED backlit display, with a resolution of 1366×768.

In addition, both of the Cloudbooks feature 802.11 wireless technology, providing up to three times faster connection speeds.

Plus, each notebook is powered by an Intel Celeron mobile processor and come with 2GB of DDR3L memory.

The Cloudbook 11 and 14 will be available from October, with prices starting at £179.99 and £199.99 respectively.
